Blockchain investment firm and hedge fund Pantera Capital has raised $5 million for a Bitcoin Fund according to a form D filing with the US SEC dated Nov. 20.
- The filing shows that Pantera had amassed another $5 million, bringing its total funds raised for the Bitcoin Fund to $134 million
- A total of 137 investors have invested in Pantera’s offerings, which made its first sale in Oct. 2013
- By 2017, Pantera had provided over 25,000% in returns, being one of the earliest Bitcoin funds in the space
- The Pantera Capital Fund has raised over $160 million; the firm’s overall portfolio includes projects like Ampleforth (AMPL), Bakkt, BitGo, Blockfolio, Brave, Ripple, Xapo, Zcash or Kyber
- Pantera also been making a lot of investments very recently, such as the Automated Market Maker Balancer
