Musician and entertainer Akon’s cryptocurrency Akoin will see its first exchange listing on Bittrex, the company announced via a press release shared with CryptoSlate on October 22.

• Bittrex will list Akoin on November 11
• Akoin is based on the Stellar network, and will play a big part in Akon’s digital city Akon City in Senegal
• In April 2020, the Akoin team announced that it will be also used in Kenya’s billion dollar city, and expects “a minimum of 1 million transactions in the first year and 100 million transactions annually within 5 years”
• The asset has been on a promotional spree, with Akon promoting the asset and inviting businesses pitches at multiple conferences
