Matteo Berrettini beat Argentine Mariano Nabone 6-7(4), 6-3, 6-2 to reach the final of the Grand Prix Hassan II in Marrakech, Morocco. The 27-year-old Roman, ranked 135th, beat world number 60 and seventh seed Mariano Navone in around two hours and three quarters to reach the final. On Sunday Berrettini will face the Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena, 64th ATP ranked and defending champion, in the final for the trophy. Carvares-Baena beat Russian Pavel Kotov 6-4, 6-2 in one hour and 39 minutes of play.
"I'm tired but very happy", commented Berrettini, "it was the most difficult match of the week and the conditions have changed, but I had great support from the public". I'm happy for tomorrow's final. I don't even remember when the last ATP final was. It's still too early to think about Monte Carlo."
