Hotels are exploring using NFTs to create a StubHub for Lodging Reservations
Some resort owners think they have found a way to avoid getting stuck with excess inventory when guests cancel at the last minute. It involves converting room nights for sale into nonfungible tokens, or NFTs, that can be bought or sold by hotel guests, similar to the StubHub market for concert and sporting event tickets. Owners claim this ensures they get paid for the rooms because guests would sell their reservation in the market if they decide not to go, and appeal to the crypto-enthusiastic traveler. "We can reach another consumer that maybe isn't booking through traditional means search engine based room selectors.
Who is already working on accepting NFT's for Reservations? a Dominican Republic resort called Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, , is planning to soon begin booking rooms with NFTs. Casa de Campo has signed with the startup Pinktada.
Who is Pinktada? Built their token marketplace where sharable Travel experiences are create a digital memento of your trip, share it with loved ones, and keep it forever or trade it for Hotel room night tokens (RNT).
Which recently launched a booking system that includes hotels in the Caribbean, Mexico, San Francisco and Hawaii. guests can reserve rooms at those properties by buying NFTs through Pinktada. By using this system, guests can book a room at a discount to what the hotel would charge for a refundable reservation.
How does it work? The room sale is final from the point of view of hotel owners, so their revenue is guaranteed whether or not the room is used. If travelers change plans, they can use the tokens for other Pinktada hotels or sell them to another traveler in the Pinktada network.
Crypto Payment Gateways - I see huge investments taking place by Crypto Payment Gateways in this area and people look to link other services and offerings to keep their spend alive.
Theta Drop (TDROP) will be selling "The Price is Right Collectibles" - bringing to life game show memories for you and others too. Think how wildly successful these game shows are. Think how invested people become in the shows and the winners. Now they can share a memory with the champs. Think how the champ can have 1:1 experiences with NFT owners (not saying they will but they could).
Perhaps your favorite host is the iconic Bob Barker, or you lean more towards Drew Carey, pick up the NFT and have them both.

I can envision other game shows jumping on this to capture the fan experience. Don't you?
