Norton 360 allows users to mine crypto

Norton 360 allows users to mine crypto

Breaking news, Norton 360 (a highly popular Anti-virus offering for retail consumers).

What can users mine - anything from ETH to Monero

Downsides - CPU based mining was proven to be ineffective years ago AND you will have to disable Antivirus functionality on your computer.  So, lets dig into this. You pay for Antivirus functions then you have to disable them in order to mine crypto on a sub-optimal platform? Seems illogical!

It gets better- in order to protect your hard mined coins you get to store them on the Norton Cloud in the Norton Cloud Wallet.  Sure, nothing has ever gone wrong with Cloud based offerings.  Nobody has ever just shutdown cloud offerings leaving customers with no ability to access their own data.  Sounds like a splendid way to do the hard work and have someone else benefit.  Don't overlook the Tax ramification of your mining efforts!

Timeframe for this offering - in the next few weeks users can expect this new offering

Summary - Buyer beware rings a familiar tune in my brain at this time. You might have to turn off Anti-virus offering in order to mine and you have to use the Norton Hot Wallet in the Cloud. Sounds like you need a better plan to me, just my opinion. Don't go all TROLL on me
