Kraken is running own Chainlink Node!

Kraken my favorite Crypto exchange is currently ranked 4th based upon trading volume. Today they announced they are running their own Chainlink Node!

Why would Kraken want to run own Chainlink Node? Recall Chainlink's decentralized oracle network Oracles provide data that can be used to trigger events using smart contracts. Additionally the oracle nodes are widely used within DeFi to provide reliable price data aimed to be free from manipulation.

Why Else? Thus enabling it to broadcast its Oracle Rates to Ethereum and other blockchains allowing for price comparison and thus competition in the marketplace. Showing spot prices through oracles would help build transparency and trust in the digital asset industry. Lest we overlook the  built-in cryptographic signing capabilities, allowing users to have access to on-chain proof of any data originating from Kraken's platform.  This ramps up the level of trust another 10x in my mind.

Summary - This brings a HUGE cornerstone into the DeFi realm increasing the rate and level of trust.  Here's to raising the bar instead of lowering it!
