China's program is AKA BRI and B&R the ambitious growth plan was launched in '13 to counter Russian and US Global Influence. Additionally, as a way to China to move away from recycling US investment money by making loans to country's for their commodities. Some are calling it a revived Silk Road (no, not the Dark Web site, the original trade route that linked China to Rome.)
One overarching goal is to connect 65% of world together via concrete and digitally! Currently, these countries account for 73% of Global GDP, Based around Loans and settled in Yuan. That is a huge trading block, think about the influence and who benefits. Give you a hint CCP.
Thinking forward, How will China drag Afghanistan into this in '21 with a sloppy US pullout?
What countries are involved in BRI? Is a $900B investment push (That includes 17 in EU block, Saudi Arabia and Africa)
Is it only land based? No, China's 7,500-Mile Undersea 'Peace Pipe' To Connect Belt And Road Countries via cable should surface near Marseille, FR later this year. Anyone else find the name deceptive?
Gotcha, The Takeover: China Is Building Enormous Self-Sustaining Chinese Cities All Over The African Continent One Belt One Road initiative - is changing Geography and very important to the 21st Century. How, you might ask yourself? China is building Military bases all over Africa too to peacefully influence the country leaders. Pause and re-read that last sentence.
China Seeks to Influence all these countries- But to What End? It takes little to no imagination to see that China has built a system to bypass any future pending US monetary sanctions, additionally, they have host countries that will be heavily influenced to take up China's CBDC which grants them further power and control.
Summary - China's BRI is all about Global Influence in more than one way. Open your eyes, knock off the scales and realize what it taking place through gray operations and influence.
