There is a correspondence and contradiction between truth and fiction, and this is due to the fact that truth is an expression of what is reality and inherent in the outside, while fiction is an expression of nothingness and reality, and although the distance between truth and fiction is unlimited, it may shrink to a point where it is difficult to distinguish between them. Imagination is an obsession that develops the fancy of human thought for things, in other words, it is a deep wish that a person imagines and may fulfill.
In fact, science fiction novels and movies predicted many of the inventions we know today, and some of them inspired scientists with many innovations that they might not have thought of. Science fiction is a fantasy world full of wonders mixed with scientific facts, predictive visions and a realistic guess about possible future events.
Science fiction led, earlier, to the technological innovations that we witnessed with the beginning of the twentieth century such as signal telegraph, visual means of transmitting information, the first applications of electricity, new military weapons, military devices for gravity besides other political and economic facts .
Accordingly, there were many prophecies about the future produced by American cinema, and many of them were fulfilled on the ground, for example
The famous cartoon series "The Simpsons", which talked about the candidacy of former US President Donald Trump. There was a famous clip from the 2015 episode in which Homer Simpson appeared with a presidential campaign banner that read "Trump 2024".
Furthermore , there were many fictional concepts that have turned into reality and have become an integral part of our daily life. The film and television creativity had a great impact on the realization of future concepts such as the series"The Jetsons", which fulfilled expectations about smart home technology and shaped the present we live in. Myriad examples of unforseen concepts turned real in the present time, for instance, The movie "Metropolis", which was released in 1927, is a silent black and white film that provided the first image of robots. The film tells the story of an inventor who managed to make a robot. At the moment, this idea cannot be considered impressive because there are many robots in the world that are continuously evolving.
Another further movie titled :"2001: A Space Odyssey" predicted many things like tablets and space tourism, but the remarkable part of the movie was Skype application . No one used video chat until Skype was launched in 2001, making the fictional idea a reality and the list of such examples is too long to mention.
Technology became a persistent need in our lives, it exerts a great influence in every business or home in many forms. Over time, technology has advanced rapidly by all means and in all fields, but OpenAI is the dominant among all. What we are witnessing today is a real revolution that was once just an imaginary scenario that was transformed into reality thanks to brilliant people who have sacrificed their time and strength to achieve a very advanced artificial intelligence.
Additionally , the future technology is a speculation made by specialists, scientists and writers who are harnessed to predict future events and ideas. Most of the giants of electronic companies resort to taking advantage of science fiction books and films for more creativity and innovation. Many scientists were inspired by the works of science fiction movies and literature after analyzing, studying and evaluating them scientifically, then transferring them to the applied field as a possible new experiment to be tested in the laboratory and exploring a new technology in a short time. As a result, we have reached where we are now, so that our lives become automatized .
The areas of employing technology in the service of man and in all the requirements of his daily life have varied so that some of them exceed science fiction, starting from chatbots and passing via Metaverse until the crypto industry that turns upside-down all the balances of finance and business world .
Thanks to the internet, the cloud, laptops, tablets, and smartphones, we can now work from anywhere. We can work wherever we want and when we want, but it also means that we are facing another problem, which is that
we can't stop working completely anymore... This is one of the negative sides of technology.
We all notice that Technology has recently progressed terribly, and its spread has begun to be unusual and on a large scale as well. Its multiple advantages include the luxury it provides, but it has many effects in all areas of life, starting with the home and family. Verily, with the increase of human avidity for technology, the risk increases so that it is not possible to predict what can occur in the mind of any person or what will be our life in the upcoming decades .
Actually, from the invention of fire to the Internet, science and technology have shaped and changed the world. We can still imagine a lot ; Time travel, Interstellar travel and Myriad of potential technologies. Besides, some of the most innovative and new ideas come from people who have little to do with science and technology, but who have the inspiration and talent to imagine a future world without the hindrances of the present. In other words, science fiction remains the catalyser to every new future technology, however, as much as this latter progresses, risks also increase, which engenders human fears, because things may get out of control and cause human doom instead of his welfare, as the old adage said :" If something exceeds its limit, it turns into opposite"
