How I wish years were people and instead of just ending actually die and we bury them. I would have buried 2022 and never wished it to come back again.
2022 was the worst year that I have ever experienced on earth. May there be no other year as this one.
All years begin with January yet I think 2022 began with April. I have very little or nothing at all about the first three months of 2022. When April came knocking on the door, with it it came with a deadly disease. No! Let me not talk about it................................

April knocked with illness!
The illness was quite choosy. It chose the apple of my eye and put her down. How I thought my daughter was just to ail for a while and finally become well and healthy.
Yet, Repha, as that was my girl's name, had her health deteriorate with the advancement of the days. My daughter was 6 months heavy with child and we feared losing both mother and child. Doctors prayed the pregnancy to reach about seven months and terminate it. They hoped this might save the baby and most probably, the mother.

Caesarean section was done at seven months and the immature baby girl was put in an incubator. Yet the mother continued to ail.
I felt very bad seeing my favourite daughters dried up and cracking like a badly cooked cake. Her emaciated body was quite different from the flamboyant daughter I loved.
Why did this disease choose my girl? We struggled to care for my ailing daughter and at the same time, keep an eye on her premature daughter. How I wish my daughter could have recovered. On the night of September the third, my beloved daughter succumbed to the illness. I wept.

Don't even mention September to me. This month should be blotted from the calendar completely.
We mourned my daughter. For the 11 days she was in the morgue, that became my second home. Maybe I wanted my daughter to wake up. But she didn't. She was as dead as a dead wood. We took her body and buried it.
Then came the nightmare. The image of my daughter was everywhere. I was almost going into depression. Ella, my granddaughter was fine. But her dad wanted her. I think he also saw Ella as the only connection to the dead mother. We had a tackle trying to see who will keep the small child but later, her father won.
Let me stop here. Tears are rolling down my visage and blocking my writing. We're this a paper then it will be fully soiled by tear drop stains.
