I am not really being serious about the term crypto derangement syndrome. I am more laughing at myself and my recent line of thinking as I continue to invest in some cryptocurrencies.
What I am referring to is a recent, yet small spike in price on some cryptocurrencies that I have been, and am continuing to buy on the drop. A few days ago I was planning on buying some more coins/tokens with some extra money I had earned. As I was going to purchase them, I found to my amazement that I was disappointed the price per coin/token had gone up. I was aghast (Jokingly) at not getting the lower price that it was the day before. I find this personally funny, as at some point we all need the price to stabilize and then increase. I have been enjoying buying on the way down, and found that I was not ready to stop buying and let the rise occur. In reality, it does not matter, but I find it interesting that I was disappointed with the price improvement.
My own thoughts have been that prices won't really go up until mid-year. If it happens sooner, that would be great. My personal mantra is to not invest emotionally, and I was emotional about prices going up in a negative manner. This is silly, and was not something I would have thought would have ever happened.
My own personal crypto derangement syndrome was that I was disappointed with prices increase as apparently I have been addicted to buying each week with a better long term value.
On a positive note, I was paid in one cryptocurrency for some work I had done. Once I was paid, the price increased nearly 68%, which allowed me to trade it for a coin/token I have been accumulating for the long haul for more than I would have been able to get if the price did not increase.
I am loving the journey. Invest responsibly, and at your own risk.
