Lately, I've been seeing one question everywhere, What if Bitcoin reaches $1 million one day? Honestly, nobody knows if it will happen. Crypto is always unpredictable. But I still think it's fun to think about because it shows how far Bitcoin has come.
People who bought Bitcoin early could make life changing profits. 💰 This means that those who invested a small sum several years ago will now have a lot of money. This is one of the reasons for so many enthusiasts to believe in long term holding strategy.
Nevertheless, I don't think that such situation would be easily achieved. To have Bitcoin at a value of $1 million per coin, we would have to witness its increased adoption worldwide. This would mean that more and more companies, banks and governments would start trusting and using Bitcoin. There should be thousands of new investors joining the market.
The development of crypto market would be changed in case Bitcoin reached this level too. Other altcoins might grow along with it, and there would appear many more investors. On the other hand, volatility might increase significantly, and a lot of newbies would invest without even knowing the potential risks.
If Bitcoin reached this price, I would be proud of the decision not to try to become extremely rich in just a few days. Instead, I would repeat once again that investing is a rational activity and not a way to make unrealistically high gains. I would continue to invest only what I can afford and learn more about market.
One of my experiences is that it is very tempting to believe any high price prediction. Every year there are people who say that Bitcoin would go much higher, and others who think that it will crash. That's why I do not make any decision based on the information from news or social media.
Whatever the price level would be in the future, my behavior towards Bitcoin would stay the same. 🌱 I would continue to learn and invest wisely with a long term vision. For me, developing skills is more important than trying to predict future events.
