As soon as the words "chasing the dream" appear in conversations, everyone thinks of success, celebration, and crossing the finish line. 

What people don't usually consider is the silent part between these two points.

The period when no one sees your efforts. And I have recently understood that pursuing a dream is an incredibly lonely experience.

It's not because of people's attitude to you; it's because no one understands what you are trying to achieve. 

There have been days when I questioned everything. If the result was not obvious and visible, why should I keep pushing?

I looked around me and saw how other people were living their lives while I was working hard on something that probably would fail.

It was a weird feeling when you start to wonder if the effort is worth it. 

The hardest thing about pursuing your dream is not about failing at it; the hardest thing is about continuing when there is no applause around you. I have learned that not everyone will believe in your dream; some people won't understand it.

 Some will try to make you more realistic in your expectations; others will just lose interest due to the absence of any visible achievements.

At first, I was bothered by these things. Now, I look at them in a different way. 

If everyone believed in your dream from the beginning, it wouldn't be called a dream. 

Also, I have realised that progress is almost invisible.

The efforts you are making in order to develop yourself are never published in headlines.

No one writes about nights when he or she doubts about the correctness of chosen path. 

But these moments exist, and they are extremely important. 

Nowadays, I do not expect people to understand my goals. It's fine. Some trips need to stay silent.

I stopped chasing other people's opinion; I am chasing progress now. Even if today's step is small, it's still the step.

Perhaps, success is not about people's approval; perhaps, success is about believing in yourself. 

In my opinion, loneliness is not a signal to stop chasing your goal; sometimes, it's just a price of your creation.

And if your dream means a lot to you, then don't allow the silence to persuade you to quit.

 In a few years, people may notice only the end result.

However, you will always remember these silent days when you were continuing your path despite everything.

And in my opinion, they are more formative than other ones.
