📈 Investing or Trading: Which One Is Better?

📈 Investing or Trading: Which One Is Better?

By Lost soul | ALL IN ONE | 2 hours ago

When I got this question some months back, I would say "trading" without giving it too much thought. I used to think that trading was the fastest way to get wealthy. People I saw on social media posting their profits every day, made me feel that it was quite an easy task. However, having learned more about trading and investing, my opinion changed greatly.

I understood that the terms trading and investing are two different concepts. While trading is about buying and selling certain assets, in hopes of profiting from their price changes, investing implies choosing good assets and holding them for many years to let them grow gradually.

It reminds me of the experience of trying a demo trading account to learn what it was all about. For a while, I did some profitable deals, and it made me feel really good. Then, however, I made some wrong decisions due to my desire to get a profit quickly. This is one of the lessons I've learned – when trading, your emotions influence your decision too easily.

Therefore, answering the question, nowadays, I would definitely go for investing. 🌱 Investing allows me to be patient instead of constantly watching for new changes of prices and feeling the pressure of the moment.

Of course, this does not imply that trading is bad in general. On the contrary, many people succeed in trading, however, it requires a great deal of patience, practice, discipline, and risk management.

Moreover, even if you choose trading as your strategy, you should not forget about learning the basics of it.

If you are an absolute beginner in the sphere like I was, you should definitely focus on learning investing at first. Then, as you see how the market works, you can try trading if it suits your personal preferences and goals.

In conclusion, there is no perfect answer to the question. You should find out which option is better for you according to your personality. If you like to do fast decisions and can manage the risk, then you can give a chance to trading.

However, if you prefer long-term growth of your investments and slower process, you can go for investing.

As for me, I will definitely continue learning both of these strategies, although, in case of choice, I would prefer investing. Even if it does not bring me quick profits, but makes me sure of my future.
