Dior’s Maria Grazia Chiuri is Stepping Down


What Has Happened?


Maria Chiuri, a lead designer at Dior is stepping down from her position. Maria had helped to quadruple Dior’s revenue with feminist driven commercially successful products. Maria was the artistic director of Dior women’s collections since 2016.

A Successor?

While her successor has yet to be named. Jonathan Anderson has recently been named as Dior’s director of menswear. There is expectations being hinted that he may also be taking over the position as the director of womenswear as well.

She Will Be Missed

CEO Delphine Arnault extended a warm thanks to Maria stating she “has accomplished tremendous work with an inspiring feminist perspective and exceptional creativity” applauding Maria for her “spirit of Monsieur Dior”.

Maria’s Gratitude

Maria expressed gratitude for being given the opportunity to be the head of the womenswear section of the world renowned company, founded in 1947.

In Conclusion

In conclusion this is a major change for the luxury brand Dior, flipping the page into a new era. We should all be very excited to see what the new head designer of Dior ushers into this newly defining period into the company’s timeline.
