Delivering an International Standard

Neptune Privacy(XNT) - Is the Ticker Important? Why XNT and not NPP, NTP, NEP, and Others?

Greetings Friends;

Being part of reality does not mean discarding it completely, but rather adapting to it little by little. After all, why should we discard millennia of evolution for just one bet? Why not use everyday life as a springboard for long “distances”? Even if it's a supposed bet, as some experts say, why not normalize the cryptocurrency segment to international standards? I leave that for you to reflect on...

That said, you may have seen the prefix XBT or something similar on some derivatives(futures) exchanges such as Bitmex, right? And do you know what that means? The answer is simple: the International Organization for Standardization(ISO) needed an official international currency code, but since Bitcoin is not an official national currency, the BTC ticker does not fit the standards, and for all non-fiat currencies, the initial prefix “X” must be established according to the rules of ISO 4217. Now you can understand why Neptune Privacy is configured as XNT and not NPP, NTP, NEP, or other tickers derived from the project name. The idea is to maintain the international standard in case there is a need for global integration between current financial systems(Forex, stock exchange, and binary options) and the world of crypto.

For practical purposes, the ISO 4217 standard provides:

Standardization: Promoting a memorable standard across various trading platforms and financial services.

Clarity: No less important... Helps avoid confusion with other currencies and assets, allowing investors to be clear about what they are buying or selling, bearing in mind that there are hundreds of national and non-national currencies.

Integration: It allows for easier integration with traditional and international financial systems, where it simplifies access for institutions to Neptune Privacy and all projects that have this initial prefix in X.

Overall, and at its maximum efficiency, ISO 4217 is essential for separating nomenclatures so as not to create confusion in the face of the multitude of national currencies that currently exist. Have you ever thought about what would happen if there were disorder in this system? What would it be like? That is why the development of ISO, the global entity that develops and publishes standards to standardize processes, products, and services, is essential to maintaining the quality, safety, and efficiency of any segment that needs an international standard that can be used in all countries.

Will we ever see Cryptocurrency as a National Coin?

Unfortunately, this is a question that cannot be answered with certainty, and not even an expert would be able to answer it accurately because there are many factors involving governments and political interests. However, what we can try to calculate is the possibility of a government officially adopting a cryptocurrency as a secondary option, using it as a source of payment and store of value. But... But I believe that the question is not whether we will see it or not, but rather whether governments are interested and whether it is economically viable on a global scale, even though we know that cryptocurrencies were created for this purpose.

Does XTN have the strength to become a National or International Coin?

This is another relative question that depends entirely on adoption, but we must believe that all the necessary requirements are present in the project, and even though it's in its early stages of development, the sky's the limit. However, let's keep our feet on the ground and believe in the power of tomorrow, and let's avoid unnecessary illusions.

Does Neptune Privacy Intend to fit into Conventional Everyday Patterns?

NO...

Therefore, the only conventional standard that XNT delivers is ISO 4217, where it can simply fit in and be a financial alternative in the different markets that exist in today's reality.

Therefore, we cannot confuse things by thinking that XNT was created to be just another one of thousands of options, especially because its technology does not allow it to be a mediocre project, but rather a top-notch project that aims to deliver highly usable technology.

Is XNT a Memorable Ticker?

Yes, in fact, all tickers are created to generate neuro-association in their investors and holders, where their objective is to remember the project and associate it with 3 or 4 characters. In practical and aesthetic terms, writing the project name becomes tiring and unconventional, doesn't it? Now every time you see XNT you will remember Neptune Privacy.

Conclusion

Being up to standard and ready for any market alternative is the crucial sign that separates the wheat from the chaff. What XNT did was simply be ahead of its time, and even though ISO 4217 standardization does not apply to cryptocurrencies, the initial format of the X prefix is very aesthetic and appreciated by many users. Another important aspect that we cannot forget is the separation of equality due to the large number of projects being launched, in other words, XNT and not another ticker helped to avoid this embarrassment and association with other projects.

What do you think? Do you like the XNT ticker?

Do you believe in the standardization of cryptocurrencies? I leave it to you to reflect on this and recommend that you do your own research and draw your own conclusions. This article was written to help you understand a little about ISO 4217 and the reason for the XNT ticker.
