Today I went to the Polytechnic of Turin to meet a professor. I had been missing from Turin for many days. I don't even know what I expected to find, but I must say that I found my usual city.
Yes, something different is perceived in the air but I don't think it's fear and more like an almost imperceptible shudder at the bottom.
I took the metro both outward and return, there were not many people but sure it was not empty. Indeed, it was impossible to keep the two meters that the ordinances prescribe. Someone wore a mask. Few indeed. And everyone had the "useless" ones. I have not seen any with the filter that can protect you virus.
Even at the Polytechnic there was a strange atmosphere. Last night the first three cases were certified among employees and teachers. Today, only professors and housekeepers walked around the corridors. Strange to see the Polytechnic so empty and without students.
Turin today seemed to me a city waiting for something. No panic or fear, I saw a city waiting quietly. We will see what will happen shortly here.
