GRIEF

A tempest in the soul,

A storm that rages wild and free,

A pain that takes a heavy toll,

As we struggle to find the key.

It comes in waves, a crushing blow,

That leaves us gasping for our breath,

A force that we cannot forego,

As we stumble towards our death.

It arrives uninvited, an unwelcome guest,

Its presence consuming, a relentless test.

Through tear-stained eyes,

the world turns gray,

As grief's storm surges, washing color away.

Oh, the weight of grief,

an ocean of despair,

Its waves crashing upon the shores of care.

It steals the breath, suffocates the soul,

Leaving wounds that ache, unable to console.

Yet within this darkness,

a flicker remains, A glimmer of strength,

where resilience gains.

For grief, though cruel,

holds transformative power,

To nurture empathy, compassion to flower.

For though grief may never leave,

It will lessen with each passing day, And in its wake,

we will believe, That love will light our way.

So let us hold on to that love,

As we journey through the stages of grief,

For it will guide us like a dove, And bring us comfort and relief.
