This poem was written in 2007 and given the direction the people of this planet might be taken, it reads appropriate for today:

I aspire to motivate the world

To a truth as yet unlearned

It is a truth that must be told

Before real wisdom can be discerned

I know not from whence it comes

Or why it should come to me

But deep within my mind’s eye

It plays out for me to see

So these words herein I do express

Meant for others to behold

For in their meaning

There is a deeper story to unfold

I give not judgment to what they say

I just give them the light of day

To express what they may

To your eyes and mind to make play

I speak to challenges that will unfurl

Endangering humanity’s continuance

Be it cosmic or man made

It is the product of man’s influence

The chaos and turmoil as yet unseen

Will make fantasies of Hell

The lesser of a bad dream

One that won’t end with just a scream

Blithe and famine are the lesser of concerns

The darkness that will befall humanity

Gives want of brighter yesterdays to yearn

To give up its vanity for peace and sanity

It’s for the madness of those in control

Those who lust for power and greed

Guised as goodness on all to bestow

Now they too are brought to their knees.

This is not fable this is not myth

The clock hand will strike the fatal hour

The hour when the end will persist

And Man lay dead beneath his crumbled towers.
