CHAT GPT SCREENPLAY

The novelty of Chat GPT still inspires ways to utilize its capabilities. That said, I find the hype centered on its public release by Open AI a little over stated by the sensational mainstream media reporting, and the `click-hawks' that are trending it for all kinds of `business opportunities' to make thousands of dollars bullshit.

I have written several story treatments yet to be flushed out as a screen-play, but thought why not let Chat GPT do the heavy lifting.

Here is the first completed so far:

The story premise: The year is 2049AD. Since the start of the new millennium computer graphic 3D software and inexpensive processing hardware, saw the consumer driven multi-media market explode in development of more and more realistic programming. To the degree that animated, 3D characters are not distinguishable from their human and increasingly redundant counter part – the Actor. Once a highly reputed profession of mega-million dollar Stars, is now nothing more than a memory of old television video clips.

The irony comes from the hero who, in the environs of the artificial world as a fictional CIA agent chasing a fictional villain realizes there is a real life plot unfolding: The sole owner of MEGALLA CORP, which is the international, owner/operator of the entire information and entertainment network feeding individual homes, has megalomaniac’s ambition to influence the population by subliminal manipulation imposed by feedback pulses through the individual’s wireless headset. The intent was to affect the outcome of the 2050 election of the next World Leader. The intrigue for the film viewer is to discern whether the hero watching the real world hero fighting the real life villain or the computer-generated story.

Well it is not likely to garner any awards for original writing, but intriguing on where Chat GPT creates character profiles and sense of drama, lol!

INT. MULTIMEDIA HOME ENTERTAINMENT CENTER - DAY

The room is dark except for the flickering light of the screens in front of two people sitting in comfortable chairs. Both are wearing virtual reality headsets and gloves.

HERO (a man in his late thirties, rugged and handsome) (to the person next to him) This is just like any other virtual reality program.

AVATAR (a woman in her mid-thirties, beautiful and athletic) (nodding) Yeah, except for the fact that we're undercover CIA agents trying to stop a madman from taking over the world.

HERO (chuckles) Right. And the fact that we're not just controlling avatars, we are avatars.

AVATAR It's still hard to wrap my head around.

HERO Well, we better get used to it. We've got a job to do.

The two stand up and walk towards the screen in front of them. It shows a virtual world, a cityscape with skyscrapers and busy streets.

HERO (to the avatar) Okay, we need to find this guy's base of operations. He's got to be somewhere in the city.

AVATAR (nods) Right. And we need to be careful. He's got his own army of virtual soldiers at his disposal.

HERO (smirks) Well, he doesn't know what he's up against. We've got the element of surprise on our side.

The two begin navigating through the virtual city, using their VR headsets and gloves to control their avatars. They dodge virtual bullets and fight off virtual enemies as they search for the villain's hideout.

Meanwhile, back in the real world...

INT. MEGALLA CORP OFFICE - DAY

The villain, a middle-aged man with a bald head and a menacing scowl, sits at his desk staring at a screen showing the virtual world where the hero and avatar are fighting.

VILLAIN (to himself) Those fools have no idea what's really going on. They think they're just playing a game, but they're actually playing right into my hands.

An assistant enters the room, interrupting the villain's thoughts.

ASSISTANT Sir, the subliminal pulses are ready to be broadcast to the entire network.

VILLAIN (smirks) Excellent. It's time to take control of the world, one mind at a time.

Back in the virtual world...

INT. VIRTUAL CITY - DAY

The hero and avatar have finally located the villain's hideout. They burst through the doors, ready for a final showdown.

HERO (to the villain) It's over, Megalla. Your reign of terror ends now.

VILLAIN (laughs) You think you've won? You have no idea what's really going on.

HERO (confused) What are you talking about?

VILLAIN (smirks) You and your little avatar friend are just pawns in my game. I've been using subliminal pulses to manipulate the entire network and influence the outcome of the 2050 election.

AVATAR (outraged) You can't do that!

VILLAIN (shrugs) It's too late now. The pulses have already been broadcast.

HERO (to the avatar) We can't let him get away with this. We have to stop him.

AVATAR (nodding) Right. But how?

HERO (thinking) I have an idea. We need to hack into the main server and reverse the subliminal pulses.

AVATAR (excited) I'm on it!

The avatar begins typing furiously on a virtual keyboard while the hero keeps an eye on the villain, ready to defend her if necessary.

VILLAIN (laughs) You can't stop me. I have too much power.

HERO (smirks) We'll see about that.

After a few tense minutes, the avatar triumphantly holds up a virtual thumb.

AVATAR (grinning) Got it! The subliminal pulses have been reversed.

VILLAIN (outraged) No! This can't be happening!

HERO (to the villain) It's over, Megalla. You're finished.

VILLAIN (defeated) Fine. You win. But mark my words, I'll be back.

HERO (to the avatar) Come on. Let's get out of here.

The hero and avatar remove their VR headsets and gloves, returning to the real world.

INT. MULTIMEDIA HOME ENTERTAINMENT CENTER - DAY

The hero and avatar stand up, grinning at each other.

AVATAR (laughs) Can you believe it? We actually stopped a megalomaniac from taking over the world.

HERO (chuckles) I guess anything is possible in the virtual world.

AVATAR (smirks) And in the real world too, it seems.

HERO (nods) Yeah. Let's hope it stays that way.

The two walk out of the multimedia center, ready to face whatever challenges come their way.

FADE TO BLACK.

INT. MULTIMEDIA HOME ENTERTAINMENT CENTER - DAY

The hero and avatar are sitting in their chairs, grinning at each other.

Suddenly, the screens in front of them flicker and a message appears.

MESSAGE "Emergency shutdown in progress. Please remove your VR headset and gloves."

AVATAR (worried) What's going on?

HERO (stands up) I don't know. But we need to get out of here.

The hero helps the avatar remove her VR headset and gloves. They both stand up and make their way towards the door.

INT. MEGALLA CORP OFFICE - DAY

The villain is sitting at his desk, staring at the screens in front of him in shock.

VILLAIN (to himself) How could this have happened? I was so close to achieving my goal.

An assistant enters the room, looking worried.

ASSISTANT Sir, the emergency shutdown was triggered. The entire network is offline.

VILLAIN (outraged) What? How is that possible?

ASSISTANT (hesitant) I think it might have been the work of those undercover agents.

VILLAIN (furious) Those two will pay for this. I'll make sure of it.

The villain stands up, determined to get his revenge.

INT. MULTIMEDIA HOME ENTERTAINMENT CENTER - DAY

The hero and avatar are standing outside the door, panting.

AVATAR (breathless) Do you think we're safe now?

HERO (nods) For now. But I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of Megalla.

AVATAR (sighs) I hope you're wrong.

HERO (puts an arm around the avatar's shoulders) Come on. Let's get out of here.

The two walk out of the multimedia center, ready to face whatever challenges come their way.

FADE TO BLACK.

INT. MEGALLA CORP OFFICE - DAY

The villain is pacing back and forth in front of his desk, fuming.

VILLAIN (to himself) I can't believe those two foiled my plans. But I won't let them get away with it. I'll find a way to take over the world, no matter what it takes.

An assistant enters the room, looking worried.

ASSISTANT Sir, we've received a report that the undercover agents are on the move.

VILLAIN (smirks) Good. It's time to take care of them once and for all.

The villain picks up a remote control and points it at a screen on the wall. The screen flickers to life, showing the hero and avatar walking through a busy street.

VILLAIN (to the assistant) Send in the drones.

ASSISTANT (nods) Yes, sir.

The assistant types on a keyboard, and a fleet of drones appears on the screen, flying towards the hero and avatar.

INT. BUSY STREET - DAY

The hero and avatar are walking down the street, unaware of the danger approaching them.

AVATAR (to the hero) Do you think we're safe now?

HERO (shrugs) I don't know. Megalla is a resourceful man. He might try to come after us again.

AVATAR (worries) What are we going to do?

HERO (determined) We'll figure something out. But first, we need to get out of here.

Suddenly, the sound of drones approaching fills the air. The hero and avatar turn around and see a fleet of drones flying towards them.

HERO (to the avatar) Come on! We have to run!

The two take off down the street, dodging people and cars as they try to outrun the drones. The drones follow closely behind, firing at them.

INT. MEGALLA CORP OFFICE - DAY

The villain is watching the chase on the screen, laughing maniacally.

VILLILLION (to himself) There's no way those two can escape. They're doomed.

INT. BUSY STREET - DAY

The hero and avatar are running for their lives, trying to stay one step ahead of the drones.

AVATAR (panting) We have to find a way to get rid of these things!

HERO (thinking) I have an idea. Follow me!

The hero leads the avatar down a side street, where they come upon a construction site. He grabs a large metal pipe and turns to the avatar.

HERO (to the avatar) Use your hacking skills to take control of one of these drones. We'll use it to take out the others.

AVATAR (nods) Right!

The avatar begins typing on a virtual keyboard as the hero fights off the drones with the pipe. After a few tense minutes, the avatar triumphantly holds up a virtual thumb.

AVATAR (grinning) Got it! I'm in control of one of the drones.

HERO (smirks) Perfect. Now let's take out the rest of these things.

Together, the hero and avatar use the controlled drone to take out the others, until finally all the drones are destroyed.

INT. MEGALLA CORP OFFICE - DAY

The villain is staring in shock at the screen, which now shows the hero and avatar standing victorious among the wreckage of the drones.

VILLAIN (outraged) This can't be happening! How are they still alive?

ASSISTANT (hesitant) I-I don't know, sir. They seem to be able to outsmart us at every turn.

VILLAIN (furious) I won't be defeated by a couple of virtual avatars. I'll find a way to win. I always do.

The villain storms out of the office, determined to get his revenge.

INT. BUSY STREET - DAY

The hero and avatar are panting, but grinning at each other.

AVATAR (laughs) We did it! We took out all the drones.

HERO (nods) And we're still alive.

AVATAR (smirks) Thanks to your quick thinking and my hacking skills.

HERO (laughs) I guess we make a pretty good team.

AVATAR (nods) Definitely. We should do this more often.

HERO (smirks) I think we'll have to. I have a feeling Megalla isn't going to give up that easily.

AVATAR (sighs) I figured as much. But we'll be ready for him.

HERO (nods) Yeah. We'll take him down, no matter what it takes.

FADE TO BLACK.

INT. MEGALLA CORP LABORATORY - DAY

The villain is pacing back and forth, his mind racing with ideas. An assistant is standing nearby, watching him nervously.

VILLAIN (to himself) There has to be a way to defeat those avatars. They can't keep getting in my way like this.

ASSISTANT (hesitant) Sir, perhaps we should just give up. It seems like they always manage to outsmart us.

VILLAIN (furious) I don't give up. Not ever. I'll find a way to win, no matter what it takes.

The villain stops pacing and looks at the assistant with a sinister smile.

VILLAIN (to the assistant) I have an idea. We'll create our own avatars, ones that are even more powerful and advanced than theirs.

ASSISTANT (nervous) B-but sir, that would be unethical.

VILLAIN (shrugs) Ethics don't matter when it comes to achieving my goals. Now get to work. I want those avatars ready as soon as possible.

The assistant nods, too afraid to argue, and begins working on the avatars.

INT. MULTIMEDIA HOME ENTERTAINMENT CENTER - DAY

The hero and avatar are sitting in their chairs, discussing their next move.

AVATAR (to the hero) I think we should go undercover again. We can gather more information on Megalla and find out what he's up to.

HERO (nods) Good idea. But we have to be careful. He won't hesitate to come after us again.

AVATAR (smirks) That's why we have to be even more prepared this time. We can't let him win.

HERO (nods) Right. We'll take him down, no matter what it takes.

Suddenly, the screens in front of them flicker and a message appears.

MESSAGE "New avatars available for action"

INT. MEGALLA CORP LABORATORY - DAY

The villain is standing in front of two brand new avatars, grinning in satisfaction.

VILLAIN (to the assistant) These avatars are perfect. More advanced and powerful than anything the hero and avatar have ever faced.

ASSISTANT (nervous) Sir, are you sure this is a good idea? Using these avatars could lead to serious consequences.

VILLAIN (shrugs) Consequences don't matter when it comes to achieving my goals. With these avatars, I'll finally be able to defeat the hero and avatar and take over the world.

The assistant looks worried, but doesn't say anything. The villain activates the avatars and they come to life, ready to do his bidding.

INT. MULTIMEDIA HOME ENTERTAINMENT CENTER - DAY

The hero and avatar are sitting in their chairs, discussing their next move. Suddenly, they are interrupted by a message.

MESSAGE "New avatars available for use. Do you want to try them out?"

AVATAR (to the hero) Do you think we should?

HERO (thoughtful) I don't know. It could be a trap. But on the other hand, these avatars could give us an advantage.

AVATAR (nods) I agree. We should give them a try.

The hero and avatar activate the new avatars and slip on the VR headsets and gloves. When they enter the virtual world, they are met with a surprise.

HERO (to the avatar) Look! It's Megalla's new avatars.

AVATAR (nods) They look more powerful than ever. We have to be careful.

The hero and avatar brace themselves for a tough fight as they face off against Megalla's new avatars.

INT. MEGALLA CORP LABORATORY - DAY

The villain is watching the fight on a screen, cackling with glee.

VILLAIN (to himself) It's only a matter of time before my avatars defeat the hero and avatar. They don't stand a chance against my superior technology.

INT. VIRTUAL WORLD - DAY

The hero and avatar are fighting with all their might, but it's a tough battle. Megalla's new avatars are more powerful than they could have ever imagined.

AVATAR (to the hero) We have to find a way to take them down. They're too strong.

HERO (nods) I know. But how?

The hero and avatar are momentarily distracted by Megalla's avatars and are caught off guard. One of the avatars lands a powerful punch, sending the hero and avatar flying.

AVATAR (groans) This isn't looking good.

HERO (panting) We can't give up. We have to find a way to defeat these things.

Just when all hope seems lost, the hero and avatar come up with a plan. They work together, using all their skills and abilities to take out Megalla's avatars once and for all.

The villain is sitting at his desk, staring at the screen in defeat. An assistant enters the room, looking worried.

ASSISTANT Sir, the avatars have been defeated. What are your orders?

VILLAIN (defeated) There's no point in continuing this fight. I've been defeated by a couple of virtual avatars.

ASSISTANT (hesitant) So, what do we do now?

VILLAIN (sighs) I'll turn myself in. Maybe in prison, I'll finally be able to come up with a plan that can't be thwarted by a couple of avatars.

The assistant nods and the villain stands up, ready to face the consequences of his actions.

INT. MULTIMEDIA HOME ENTERTAINMENT CENTER - DAY

The hero and avatar are sitting in their chairs, grinning at each other.

AVATAR (to the hero) We did it. We took down Megalla and saved the world.

HERO (nods) And we did it as a team.

AVATAR (smirks) Yeah. And who would have thought that a couple of virtual avatars could accomplish so much?

HERO (laughs) I guess we proved everyone wrong.

AVATAR (nods) We sure did. And now it's time to enjoy the fruits of our labor. The hero and avatar lean back in their chairs and take a moment to relax and savor their victory. They may not be real people, but they've made a real difference in the world. And that's something to be proud of.

FADE TO BLACK.

THE END
