FREEDOM MetaDAO is a platform built to aid the transition of decentralized governance into the mainstream space. It aims to help businesses, individuals, and organizations to engage in fair and equitable governance practices. There are tools that users can use to prevent corruption and provide transparency. It caters to the experience and business needs of the users.
The platform leverages blockchain technology and decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) to implement security and transparency. There is no censorship and groups of diverse scope, interests, or size can organize, make decisions, pool resources, and take effective action together. FREEDOM MetaDAO is making DAOs accessible and user-friendly by lowering financial and technological barriers that have hindered adoption. The FREEDOM network is created by the ecosystem of DAOs using the platform and its tools.
“The Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s needs, but not every man’s greed” (Ghandi).
In this ever-evolving world, there is room for everyone but due to toxicity and greed, this reality is not attainable. However, Freedom is interested in creating a better future where Economies are Equitable, Leadership is Distributed, and Organisations are Democratized for academic associations, grass roots lobbies, or the government. It is making ground-breaking technology easily accessible while equally empowering everyone. It wants to provide people with Freedom of Access, Freedom of Opinion, Freedom to manage, Freedom to be heard, and Freedom to be rewarded.
Freedom DAOS
DAOs developed using the FREEDOM Platform consist of one or more governance modules. These modules can be readily configured, added, or removed to suit the needs of the organization. They oversee issue identification and definition, voting, action, and managing the resources of the organization. These modules include membership, opinion, proposals, voting, action, and rewards modules which can be deployed alone or in combination.
The platform has three modes of participation groups for reducing barriers to entry and allowing myriad use cases. These groups include casual, personhood-based, and staking-based participations. The casual mode works on the application layer only, allowing organizations to use the platform without undergoing identity checks or staking tokens. Its benefits are low barriers to adoption, operational efficiency, and reduced environmental footprint. However, organizations can decide to use other modes as they scale up.
The personhood-based mode requires users to perform an identity check to prevent spam or fraudulent activity and ensure eligibility. However, they are not required to stake or hold tokens. The staking-based mode requires that users own a certain amount of FREEDOM utility tokens. This mode is best for participants that plan to pool and use the tokens on their projects. Users must stake a specific amount of the tokens in a staking protocol to perform activities like raising issues, voting, etc.
Users of the staking-based participation mode are incentivized for participating in group activities. Staked tokens can be retrieved at any time but the rewards are released on time.
Freedom Token
The FREEDOM Utility Token is the native token of the FREEDOM network. It is a part of the rewards system used for incentivizing and rewarding participants in the DAOs and FREEDOM Network. Holders have access to token-related functions and features on the FREEDOM Platform and FREEDOM Network. They can pool tokens for use in projects or distribution.
The token is a multi-network ERC-20 token that is compatible with the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and Ethereum chains. There are plans to make it interoperable with other EVM networks. This feature will allow DAOs to choose their desired consensus method and security layer.
There will be a total supply of 200,000,000 FREEDOM Utility Tokens. A portion will be distributed in public and private airdrops. Users can purchase the tokens on various decentralized exchanges. They can also stake it in FREEDOM group activities or Liquidity Pool to earn more.
There would be no new FREEDOM Utility Tokens after the initial minting, additional tokens will be released from the FREEDOM Platform treasury mainly through staking. The staking reserve contains limited resources for incentivizing early participants and managing the amount in circulation. Users can either stake through the liquidity pool or directly.
FREEDOM aims to be the pioneer decentralized collaboration platform allowing non-technical users to form a prominent and global network economy. It has vast applications and can be utilized by teams, cities, communities, and countries.
Real-Life Situations Of Freedom DAOs
The Freedom platform is designed to allow users without technical know-how to build organizations that uphold the core values of democracy, that preaches equity and values transparency. For instance, non-governmental organizations can use freedom as a tool to thoroughly grasp some of their employees’ most important concerns and to develop the best way of dealing with issues utilizing their resources.
