We are accustomed to our smartphones. They can tell us the time anywhere in the world and they are also capable of providing us with the calendar of any past and future era.

Plants, flowers, and fruits are good calendars.

Daffodils are blooming in the garden: Spring is coming.

Violets are blooming: yes, Spring has arrived.

Violets can be not only dark purple. They can also be white.

It's not spring if violets aren't accompanied by primroses.

And we couldn't forget the peach flowers.
