Satan's boletus is almost as poisonous as toadstool?

Yes, boletus satanic, although it contains much smaller amounts of the poisonous substance muscarine, can also cause food poisoning. Of course, it is not as harmful as toadstools, but it can chase us away after the toilet.

By some people, the muscarine contained in some mushrooms is not treated as a poisonous substance, but an intoxicant, a light drug, a booster. Indeed, in a small concentration, it has hallucinogenic properties, but I advise against flying enthusiasts, there are better and safer toys 😉.

It is very easy to recognize the devil's boletus, its features are so characteristic that it is difficult to confuse it with edible species, but you need to know these features first 😁:D

The first feature is the unusual color of the cap in porcini mushrooms. It can be grey, ashen, slightly yellowish, sometimes even white. Of course, this is the color of the top side. In addition, it is matte, almost suede to the touch.

The underside of the cap, the hymenophore of which consists of tubes, is variable in color. In young fruiting bodies, it is yellowish, then orange, and in mature fruiting bodies it is even blood-red, purple.

Variable colors do not exclude one unchanging feature. The hat becomes discolored when pressed, damaged from the bottom. The color of the damaged area becomes dark blue, dark blue or even black.

Another characteristic feature is the stem of this mushroom, which is fleshy, hard, barrel-shaped, full inside. It is usually yellow-orange in color, but the purple mesh placed on it causes the leg to have a bloody color.

When the entire mushroom is cut through, both the cap and the stem turn a bluish color. The mushroom, of course, is inedible.

You can meet it in early summer, and it grows until autumn (in Europe, it is the period from July to October. It likes last deciduous trees with a predominance of beeches and oaks, where there is quite a lot of light.

😉
