Roberts geranium and hart's-tongue fern - beauties that we can meet during walks in the woods

By madventure | Nature, Photography | 20 Feb 2024

Roberts geranium (Geranium robertianum) is a beautiful flower that can be found almost all over Europe, Africa and Asia. It is quite common, but its favorite place is forests, groves, where we often go in search of edible mushrooms.

The plant can reach up to half a meter in height, showing beautiful five-petalled pink flowers during the flowering period.

It is a plant used in medicine, mainly its leaves, and it was already in antiquity. This herb was used to stop bleeding, disinfect wounds and many other activities.

Often, walking in the forest, you can also come across various species of ferns. But the ones that are still young and just developing look the prettiest.

Such an interesting plant is hart's-tongue fern (Asplenium scolopendrium). It is a forest fern that is successfully grown in our home gardens or even at home.

Enjoy 😉
