The next day of exploring the city of Rhodes was a bit unusual, as it was combined with a visit to the neighboring island of Symi.

Therefore, our day started very early, as the ferry to Symi Island left at 8 a.m.

So we decided to arrive in Rhodes early in the morning, at sunrise, and wander around the city at night, when everything was closed. And I have to admit, it was a pleasant experience.

The next stage of our sightseeing took place after returning from Symi Island. We arrived at Rhodes Port at 4:00 PM, so we still had a few hours to stroll around and grab an evening meal. So we did.

The old town of Rhodes itself isn't complicated, and it's actually hard to get lost there. We didn't need a map, as everything was within sight, and leaving the old town meant simply exiting through one of the large gates in the defensive wall. There was always a way to get there.

April is not the peak season yet and there were few people, which is an advantage of this period.

The pleasant temperature, over 22 degrees Celsius in the shade, and the already strong sun meant I was already wearing summer clothes and sandals – it was very comfortable.

For dinner, we ordered two gyros: one classic pork gyro with fries, and the other a bit different—I'm not sure if it was a gyro, but it also came with fries. Both were enormous, delicious, and, above all, inexpensive.

In a nice restaurant we paid 25 euros for two gyros with two beers - I think it's a very good price.

We spent a beautiful, sunny day exploring two beautiful places: Rhodes Old Town and the island of Symi. But more about the island in the next post.
