Cortinarius semisanguineus (Surprise Webcap) - The diameter of the hat can reach 6 cm. When the fruiting body is young it has a bell-shaped, hemispherical, arched shape. It opens with age and becomes outstretched, with a small tapered hump. The young fruiting body has a dull, dry skin with fine scales. The color of the hat is olive brown, cinnamon, cinnamon brown.

The gills are wide, medium thick, blood red in color, more or less folded, then they acquire shades of brown, and they become cinnamon when the spores are released.

The leg is up to 10 cm high, cylindrical. Yellowish, yellow-brown in color, fibrous at the base, brass-colored, often bent, brittle. The flesh is yellowish, yellowish-yellow, with a bitter, earthy taste and radish odor.

Occurrence: It grows on the ground, in pine and spruce forests, rarely also under deciduous trees (beech, birch, oak), on acidic soils, in marshes among mosses, in peat bogs, grows in groups. You can meet him from June to November.

Value: Poisonous fungus, contains orellanin, which seriously damages the kidneys.
