
I noticed this beautiful plant in the park garden for the first time. Perhaps new plants are added each year to enrich the flora of this beautiful place.


The Physalis inflata is an ornamental plant, but it is edible. The fruits are full of vitamins and are used in folk medicine, but their bitter taste makes them of little use in cooking.

There are many varieties of this plant, including the honey physalis, which we love to eat in autumn. It is also rich in vitamins and very tasty.

The ornamental physalis is valued primarily in floristry. Its beautiful flowers, reminiscent of Chinese red lanterns, are perfect for creating beautiful floral arrangements when dried.


The Physalis inflata blooms in summer. It produces capsules containing a small, spherical fruit with tiny seeds. It is not a large plant, rarely reaching 100 cm in height, but densely planted plants create a beautiful, fairytale-like setting.

Physalis is rich in many valuable vitamins, including C, A, and B. Its antioxidant content makes it a good support for the immune and nervous systems. It's an excellent natural source of valuable vitamins during the fall and winter.
