Today's walk was minimal, as I had a lot of work waiting for me at home. I finished the worst part of the balcony renovation: applying marmolite plaster to the interior of the balcony. The result was great.

A short visit to the birdhouse in the park and a quick feeding of the tits and sparrows. A nuthatch flew in briefly, grabbed two nuts at once, and that's all I saw of it.

The nuthatch is a curious bird that doesn't like empty runs. When it comes for nuts, it takes as many as it can. Sometimes it looks funny trying to fit three nuts in its tiny beak. It tries to manipulate, rearrange, and rearrange until it achieves its goal.

More renovation work tomorrow: self-leveling screed and ground preparation for porcelain tiles.
