[EN] Caterpillars are beautiful insects. Their shapes and colors always fascinate. This time they are sitting on a bench under the linden tree, I met such an individual.
[PL] Gąsienice to przepiękne owady. Ich kształty i ubarwienie zawsze fascynują. Tym razem siedzą na ławce pod lipą spotkałem takiego osobnika.
[EN] It's a Mark of Stash. She fell onto the bench, then crawled over to my pants, and she was fine there. So I decided to do her macro photography session.
[PL] To Znamionówka starka. Spadła na ławkę, potem podreptała na moje spodnie i było jej tam dobrze. Więc postanowiłem zrobić jej sesję makrofotograficzną.

[EN] It can be found in almost all deciduous and mixed forests, in gardens and orchards. They feed on oak, blackberry, rosehip leaves. This individual likes the linden tree.
[PL] Można ją spotkać prawie w każdych lasach liściastych i mieszanych, w ogrodach i sadach. Odżywiają się liśćmi dębu, jeżyn, dzikiej róży. Ten osobnik upodobał sobie lipę.
[EN] The beautifully colored caterpillar has characteristic yellow bumps on its back.
[PL] Przepięknie ubarwiona gąsienica ma na grzbiecie charakterystyczne żółte wypustki.
[EN] At first I thought they were glands of some kind, but as it turned out approximately, they were beautiful brushes made of delicate bristles in a bright yellow color. They resemble cactus flowers.
[PL] Początkowo myślałem, że to jakiegoś typu gruczoły, ale jak się okazało w przybliżeniu, były to piękne pędzelki zbudowane z delikatnych włosków w jaskrawym, żółtym kolorze. Przypominają one kwiaty kaktusa.
[EN] As with many caterpillars, it is likely that the bright red dots located all over the body are designed to deter the potential consumer.
[PL] Jak u wielu gąsienic, prawdopodobnie jaskrawy kolor czerwonych wypustek, usytuowanych na całym ciele, ma za zadanie odstraszać potencjalnego konsumenta.
[EN] The head of this creature was covered on both sides with protrusions that reminded me of miniature peacock feathers.
[PL] Głowa tego stworka porośnięta była z oby stron wypustkami przypominającymi mi miniaturowe pawie pióra.
[EN] The caterpillar has a characteristic tail, and the whole body is covered with hairs and characteristic signs in warning colors.
[PL] Gąsienica posiada charakterystyczny ogonek, a całe ciało pokryte jest włoskami oraz charakterystycznymi znakami w kolorach ostrzegawczych.
[EN] It has 9 pairs of legs, where 6 pairs are close to each other and the last pair is distant and closer to the head.
[PL] Posiada 9 par odnóży, przy czym 6 par jest blisko siebie, a ostatni para jest oddalona i bliżej głowy.
[EN] Over time, it turns into a butterfly which is far from being beautiful.
[PL] Z czasem przemienia się w motyla któremu daleko do piękności.
