Magpie inkcap (Coprinopsis picacea) is an endangered mushroom species. There are only a few sites in Poland where the fungus occurs. It can be found in Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia and North America.
Czernidłak pstry (Coprinopsis picacea) jest gatunkiem grzyba zagrożonym wyginięciem. W Polsce jest tylko kilka stanowisk gdzie grzyb występuje. Można go spotkać w Europie, Afryce, Azji Południowo-Wschodniej oraz Ameryce Północnej.
Cap mushroom oval, bell-shaped, covered with characteristic fibrous petals. They arise as a result of the growth of a hat, on which in a young fruiting body the entire surface is covered with a white skin.
Grzyb na kapelusz owalny, dzwonkowaty w kształcie, pokryty charakterystycznym włóknistymi płatkami. Powstają one w wyniku wzrostu kapelusza, na którym w młodym owocniku cała powierzchnia pokryta jest białą skórką.
As the hat grows, the white rind is torn. The hat can be up to 6 cm in diameter and 9 cm in height.
W wyniku wzrostu kapelusza, biała skórka ulega rozerwaniu. Kapelusz może mieć do 6 cm średnicy, i 9 cm wysokości.
The foot of the mushroom is cylindrical in shape, fibrous and slightly dusted, and can reach up to 25 cm in height. It is white in color and empty inside.
Nóżka grzyba ma cylindryczny kształt, jest włóknista i delikatnie oprószona, a może osiągnąć nawet 25 cm wysokości. Ma biały kolor, a w środku jest pusta.
The gills are very dense, in a young mushroom they have a slightly pink color, they turn black with age, and in old age they simply melt away.
Blaszki są bardzo gęste, u młodego grzyba mają lekko różowy kolor, z wiekiem stają się czarne, a na starość po prostu się rozpływają.
Very thin, brittle and watery flesh, has an unpleasant smell, is slightly fibrous, while the taste is weak, imperceptible. It is an inedible mushroom.
Bardzo cienki, kruchy i wodnisty miąższ, ma nieprzyjemny zapach, jest lekko włóknisty, smak natomiast jest słaby, niewyczuwalny. Jest grzybem niejadalnym.
It prefers deciduous forests, where it appears in wet litter in late autumn. Most often it grows alone.
Preferuje lasy liściaste, gdzie pojawia się w wilgotnej ściółce późną jesienią. Najczęściej rośnie samotnie.
