Gymnopilus junonius - Commonly known as the Spectacular Rustgill. The hat can reach a diameter of more than 10 cm. It may be yellow, through yellow-ocher, orange and beige. It feels slightly suede and matte to the touch. The young fruiting body is semicircular, flattens with age, like most mushrooms of this type. It can be slippery in high humidity. In adult mushrooms, the peel may be cracked.  

    Gills / Lamellae - are narrow but dense, yellowish, ocher or light brown in color. The leg can be up to 20 cm long and even 3 cm thick. Most often it is cylindrical, full inside, the color of a hat. Covered with fibrils or fine scales. It has a ring that is sometimes hard to see. Flesh - it is ocher-yellow or yellow, has a bitter taste, quite intense smell, reminiscent of a radish.  

    Occurrence: It grows mainly in autumn from early September to November, even December. It can be found on fallen trunks, large dying branches of deciduous trees.  

    Usage: Sources say differently, some that it is poisonous, others that it is only inedible.
