Nano BrowserQuest has been rebuilt from running-coder’s GitHub after its shutdown in 2024, and is now being further expanded under new developer Glegle(me).

Nano BrowserQuest+ is a spin-off of running-coder’s proof-of-concept pixel MMORPG, where players can complete in-game tasks for small amounts of Nano. Players can also buy items as well as the Lost temple content expansion from the in-game store.

Progressing

The player is encouraged to slay mobs of similar/slightly higher level, this will yield the most experience points. The player should start moving up the map when mobs become too low level(this lowers experience yield) to access stronger equipment and more experience. Mini-bosses(purple-tinted mobs), yield much more, but are also much stronger than normal mobs.

Upgrading equipment

The player can further bolster their stats by upgrading their equipment at the anvil(purple-colored flaming altar at the Town). Input an equipment and its according scroll, and the item’s stats will increase. Be careful; upgrading to higher levels means a higher chance of the upgrade failing and destroying the item.

Waystones

Waystones allow the player to travel long distances in an instant, but must first be unlocked by finding and interacting with them scattered across the map.

Parties

Playing in a party is very useful; bosses become easier, and experience gain is multiplied and spread across all members within 50 tiles. Create one by pressing P or right-clicking a player and choosing “Send party invite”.

Bosses

The Skeleton King is the first boss, you need lv.16 to enter his lair. It is highly recommended to have a party unless you already have strong equipment.

Upon defeating the Skeleton King, the player will receive a Nano payout based on achievement completions. The Freezing Lands waystone will also be unlocked, allowing the player to continue the adventure to kill the Necromancer and Cow King.

Trading

Right-click a player and choose “Trade” to send a trade request. Click your inventory items/gold to offer them, and click your section’s offered items/gold to un-offer them. Upon defeating the Necromancer, Nano escrow trading is unlocked, click the Ӿ to offer/un-offer Nano.
