Today I took a trip out to the beach in Grand Haven, Michigan USA. Despite being a pretty gloomy day, I'm pretty happy with how most of the pictures turned out. While this spot is bustling with locals and tourists alike during the summer, it is virtually abandoned in the freezing cold of winter.
On the beach, waves crash into and slowly accumulate into ever-growing ice shelfs that stretch across the frozen shoreline, and along the pier, the frigid lake water sprays and quickly freezes to form an intricate frozen palisades of icicles. Though this may not be the typical day at the beach, there is beauty to be found here nonetheless.
I hope that you enjoy these pictures!
