Sleeping well helps our body replenish all the energy it consumes during the day. For that reason it is essential to maintain a good sleep habit. Unfortunately, various factors such as stress can modify this habit, leading to insomnia, fatigue and other disorders.
To solve that, various companies have been given the task of designing solutions that improve our way of sleeping, and one of these companies is Philips. The Dutch technology company developed a 'smart headband', which is specially designed to help people sleep soundly.
The headband, called SmartSleep, has a physical activity monitor that will tell you how long you slept the night before and how much of that time was a deep sleep. In addition, it reproduces soft tones to help you sleep well and reduce unpleasant snoring.
Thanks to the use of an application, it is possible to record the improvement of sleep over the time of use, in addition to providing advice on how to have a better night's rest.
The company conducted a randomized trial with the users of this gadget. The investigation revealed that 70% of people with insomnia who used SmartSleep for 2 weeks said they felt better during the day, with more energy.
The SmartSleep headband will be available in early 2020 and will cost $ 399.99 in the United States.
