According to some official twitter posts I have read, MakerDAO is announcing that it will start paying a reward of up to $10 million to white hat hackers and defense experts who can reveal valid security concerns in its smart contracts.
Maker's strategy to prevent front-running attacks on its crypto is the largest ever on Immunefi's hackerone platform. In fact, if the entire lot is claimed, it will represent the sum amount of $10 million paid out by Immunefi thus far from permanent and temporary events. According to the agency's website, the defects discovered have prevented up to $20 billion in hacking losses.
Whitehat hackers might profit from rewards starting from $1,000 for low-level flaws to a maximum of $10 million for significant flaws discovered in Maker's smart contracts and programs. Of course, this is only for whitehat hackers, and for those who are unaware, whitehat hackers help to correct errors in programs and applications which could potentially result in breaching and hacking by other unethical hackers.
What do you think about this, should other cryptocurrencies such as BTC, BNB, and ETH start doing this as well, let us know in the comments!
