I've tried to make money online with quite a few websites and generally speaking I've always found myself to be completely and utterly disappointed.
There's nothing worse than when you log into something and it says, "Oh this looks good," so you decide to take a look. What you actually find is that it's completely and utterly a waste of time because it's offering $0.001 and that's a slap in the face.
Quite honestly the company that came up with this idea to pay that little for something may need to be locked up but that is my personal opinion on it. It's just something that really bites at me and drives me insane that people would actually do this. With the rise of AI, things aren't looking much better.
Quite a few of my experiences have just made me wary of trusting anything another human says, especially when it comes to money. That's all lies. That's the stance I've taken on it and I'm pretty much going to stay there. What this post is actually going to be about is more or less some things that annoyed me about some of these sites. I won't go into detail and mention which ones though.
One such site: you go in, you view a website, and then you go through the steps that they give you. You're supposed to look for something: a countdown timer. I tried 50 of these things and not one of them had a countdown timer, no matter how many times I tried and how many different browsers I tried. All of them had the same result. What I ended up earning was a big zero so every little trust in these kinds of things.
One other common and really annoying item that these stupid things push is "Go watch the entire YouTube video" and then you can spend to get that. Those aren't too bad. They give you 1 cent, but still 1 cent to go and spend 20 minutes watching a video and then they have the goal to even ask for a comment or a like. The generative dishonesty in a lot of these things is what really gets to me. It's crazy.

That's just how much it got to me, to the point where I actually gave up on online everything. I come from a country that is awful to live in if you're looking for work but I'm not going to go into details of that. This is just more of a vent piece and I feel my pain. I really feel sorry for you and if you came expecting to read an article that was happy and go-lucky, I'm sorry, I couldn't do that.
One thing that does look proper that I haven't had a chance to try is transcription work. Hopefully when I get my laptop fixed, I can go back to doing that and actually make some money. Those do work somehow and they do pay you $1 for the minute, the time you spend. Some of them only pay 20 cents a minute but at the rate you can actually get things done, that is actually almost worth it.
