My blog on top 80s music artists is listed as follows:

(1) ABC - I love this group and have heard them 3 times. They bring 3 girls who play violins to add that little extra touch. With hits like Look of love, Poisin arrow and When smokey sings among others they sound great.

(2) Duran Duran - Have never saw them but great hits like Girls on film, Hungry like the wolf and many more. Great band.

(3) Depeche Mode - Synth music at its best with Just cant get enough, Leave in silence and many more another great band.

(4) Spandau Ballet - Have only saw Tony Hadlee but sings songs like Gold and True and still as good as ever.

(5) Aha - Norwegian heart throbs in their time. Still good songs in The sun always shines in TV and Take on me.

(6) Heaven 17 - Love song Temptation but really like the song Let me go and also Come live with me. Still sound good today.

(7) Thompson Twins - Again songs like Doctor Doctor and Hold me now are still classic 80s music.

(8) Jimmy Somerville - Heard him at Lets Rock and he has some voice.

(9) Human League - Again classics like Dont you want me baby are timeless.

(10) Howard Jones - Always liked this guy and especially his big hit What is Love Anyway.

There are many other new romantic type 80s bands that didnt make my top 10 like Tears fir Fears, Kajagoogoo, Flock of Seagulls, Go West etc Let me know your alternatives

Nor to mention other genres like pop Kylie Minogue (my favourite artist) Backstreet Boys ELO Wham Madness etc
