What we will see that day are demos of what the robot taxi physically looks like and how it will work. So why is this such a critical day for Tesla? This is not the first time Tesla has presented a new vehicle. This presentation will be a sign that Tesla will cease to be an automobile company and transform into an artificial intelligence robot autonomous driving services company. Tesla has significantly reduced its profit margins on the automobile side, especially due to the fierce competition it has faced in China. Therefore, investors are also worried. If Elon Musk cannot convince investors in this presentation that Tesla is going far beyond being an automobile company, Tesla will face difficult days.
In this context, Elon Musk did something he had never done before and made an agreement with Warner Bros. in the United States and hired a studio for himself. This is a huge studio, it has both indoor areas and model cities. They will perform a demo here. In addition, rumors show us that Tesla is opening a restaurant called Diner in certain areas of San Francisco, where you can eat from a Tesla restaurant while charging. In those areas, they are intensively training Tesla vehicles to drive themselves autonomously. Because the better a test vehicle knows that area, the more successful it is in autonomous driving. As you know, I have been a Tesla investor for many years. I have watched all of Tesla's product demos. I even attended one live. I have never seen so much preparation.
Tesla's product presentations are usually quite dry and bland. There are memorable stories like the breaking of the Cybertruck's window. But they are not planned like that. They do these in their own factories, in their own production facilities. The lighting was so bad on the last Cybertruck launch that we didn't even see Elon Musk. But this time, we made an agreement with a professional studio, where I guess the sound, light and image will be great. The fact that the professional studio also has an artificial city inside, there will probably be interesting demos of how this taxi will work, and the preparations made in different parts of San Francisco show that Elon Musk and Tesla really took this presentation very seriously. Of course, there will be those who criticize him for taking it very seriously. They will say that this is empty business, that's why he put so much emphasis on the presentation. All hell will break loose that day. Some will admire it. Some will not like it, but it is very important for Tesla's future in any case.
Another important development regarding Tesla is Summon. Tesla's Summon feature, you call the car and it comes to you from the parking lot by itself. This is really a very different technology. They made demos years ago, but they were working in pre-programmed vehicles in a limited area and in the programmed area. Now they are offering it for wide use. It is really worth watching the demo. Because when you watch it, you will understand that Tesla is really a very serious player in autonomous driving. The demo was published on a Twitter account called AI Driver. The things done in both short videos may seem simple to you. But remember, no company can do these. If Tesla can do this job, it will become one of the most important autonomous taxi fleets in the world together with Google's Waymo. The main difference from Google Waymo's is that Google Waymo vehicles have lidars, radars, many cameras and sensors on special vehicles. Tesla only does this job with cameras.
Another difference is that Google Waymo has a central team and intervenes in the cars remotely if there is a problem. However, these vehicles of Tesla will be the consumer's own vehicles. We will see together whether the robot taxis that can move on their own everywhere in America with only cameras will work or not. But that day is really critical for Tesla's fate.
