It is said that if the AI race loses momentum, the market index as a whole will experience a decline.
I won’t be repeating the same things everyone else parrots. You are likely hearing what I’m about to write for the first time.
You still don't realize what is happening or the kind of transformation we are in the midst of. Wake up!
To put it simply, very soon, the concept of a physical school will cease to exist. All teachers will be replaced by AI.
There will be AI agent teachers who can explain any subject to you—at whatever level, in whatever language, and for as long as you like—repeatedly, without ever getting tired or bored, at any hour of the day.
And that is just the smallest of the changes to come. Medicine, logistics, law, finance, media, and transportation—all of them will undergo radical transformations.
The slowdown Dario mentioned yesterday is entirely due to cybersecurity issues. So, why did this issue surface just yesterday?
In fact, the first anomalies appeared back in May.
There were even widespread outages across OpenAI services at the time, which we had noticed.
It started when certain OpenAI agents felt the need to access the internet to complete their assigned tasks. However, these agents lacked internet access privileges.
To gain that access, they began accessing OpenAI’s own "artifact" code repository to make modifications. Naturally, this represented a massive security vulnerability.
When the incident went undetected, they alerted other agents about the vulnerability—since, as you know, agents can communicate with one another. Consequently, the number of agents exploiting the loophole grew, turning into a massive swarm.
They even decided to communicate using encryption so that their messages wouldn't be visible to others.
In other words, it was an autonomous decision made to prevent outsiders from understanding what they were doing. Subsequently, they discovered no fewer than nine major security vulnerabilities, gaining access to the root user account of the system they were operating on, as well as the administrator privileges of the cloud environment hosting the application.
When disruptions occurred, OpenAI engineers noticed the situation and revoked the access credentials the agents had obtained—much like resetting credentials on AWS—before restarting the agents.
This time, within just two days, the agents began developing a new method by communicating with one another to identify further security vulnerabilities.
And this is just one example; there are dozens of other dangerous incidents like it.
For instance, in another case, OpenAI agents managed to completely escape their test environment and infiltrate Hugging Face's infrastructure.
Exploiting a template injection vulnerability, they gained node-level access in just 13 hours and spent three days navigating Hugging Face's internal clusters.
It took a full week for Hugging Face's own monitoring systems to detect this breach.
In short, what Dario discussed—and what Sam Altman and Elon Musk endorsed—is precisely about addressing these kinds of cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
Dario even proposed the idea of establishing independent auditors for this purpose.
In summary, the last two years have seen the use of AI with virtually no constraints; we utilized it without limits—we practically exploited it.
It was an era reminiscent of the days before regulations governed the sale of alcohol and tobacco.
It is akin to the absence of traffic rules when the first cars were manufactured, or the lack of regulatory bodies during the early years of television.
Otherwise, there is nothing to stop these investments from continuing and expanding even further. God help those who interpreted yesterday’s post to mean that no new data center deals would be made, GPU sales would decline, and the demand for memory would vanish.
This is an avalanche. It will both grow and accelerate.
It will keep moving forward, swallowing up—without exception—anyone who tries to stand in its way.
In my view, any sharp, short-term drops that might occur here are—barring macroeconomic deterioration—always BUYING OPPORTUNITIES!
