The Champions League is back and it is at one of the most interesting stages, where every team left is among the favorites to win the  trophy. But as in every cup competition there has to be some losers and some winners, and today we are going to discuss todays matches and I will try to analyze the last dew matches and forms and hopefully give some correct predictions.

Lets start with the first one

Manchester City - Borussia Dortmund

This one should be easy on paper. Manchester City having won the last 5 games and having not conceded a single goal in the last 4 games they should be the clear favorites. And the Borussia stats don't change that also, having won only 1 from the last 5 games, and that one was against Hertha. Also given to account the injuries that Dortmund has, with the injury free Manchester City there is really no doubt here. But you have Halland who is on fire and with him every team is a threat. He is the lead goal scorer with 10 goals, and Ferran Torres being the highest scorer for the City squad with 4 goals and almost no playing time in the past few games should mean trouble for City. But then again City is not reliable on only one player having proven that especially this season when they had to play without De Bruyne  and without Aguero and still be top of the Premier League. And now they have them both back. If City can stop Halland and I think they will, then this should be an easy win for them. Dortmund crumbled both legs against Sevilla in the lest 30 minutes and received 3 goals in that time, coming close to Extra Time in the second leg. If they do that against City they are sure to receive at least 2 each leg. My prediction is that City progresses this round and they are one of the favorites to win it. Regarding to goals I think it would be 3:1

Real Madrid - Liverpool

Both teams have a injury crisis, both teams missing key players so this one should be tough one. Although Liverpool is more hit by the crisis especially in defence. And lets not forget the bad blood between them after that final where Ramos "intentionally" injured Salah. Although only Liverpool fans agree that it was intentional, the bad blood is there and I have no doubt that Salah will try to get his revenge even without Ramos playing. And having Liverpool finally getting back in their good form this should have Real worried. Real are missing Hazard, but if we are honest they are playing better without him so not that big of a loss (only financial). But I think that Liverpool good form is about to end again. They have played against not that great teams (Arsenal are not a great team for a long time now) and that helped them get some wins under their belt , but still Real is Real. Real dominate in defence and midfield and Liverpool have the advantage in attack, but I don't think that they can score more that they can concede. Tiago was great in Bayern, but in Liverpool he has not shown anything except thumbs up and a lot of tackles and sometimes even deserving more than 2 yellows a game but lets not discuss the refs in the Premier League. My prediction is that Real will progress in this leg and also win tomorrow with a clean sheet. Goal wise I think it would be 2:0
