When it happened, it was terrifying. My eyes would open. My body remained immobilized. I would see things out of the corner of my eye. I would see things materialize in front of me or objects that I was facing morph into a shadow figure. These things were humanoid in shape. Their appendages would have sharp lines. A few times, a shadow figure has choked me and stabbed me. The pain would linger even after waking up after the experience.
