Week Recap and plans for the next week 01/05-08/01

By Cooldudue | My Coding adventure | 8 May 2022

Hello everyone

So this week I finished two mini-code projects mentioned in my previous posts. I still have to publish my code for the most wanted primes from Numberphile. This week I finished most of the analysis and predictive models from the following dataset on newborns and their mothers. I will write up a report on that by the end of the week. This week I am interested in learning about non-linear regression more specifically polynomial regression. I have a basic understanding that it is possible to have as many parameters as data but the problem then is your model is overfitted. I'm interested in investigating how many parameters you will need to make the best model.

Overall I feel like this week has been quite productive but I can definitely see areas that need improvement.

This week's daily projects: Most wanted primes, Counting words in a sentence, sorting algorithms.

Thanks for reading and check out my Github if you would like to see what I've done so far.

Hello, I am a recent graduate from the University of Cape Town. I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. I am interested in becoming a developer. If you are interested in hiring please check out my CV and we can get in contact. I will be posting any projects I am working on here. My Java is a little rusty so I will be working on small problems to familiarise myself again. My CV: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qVs7YYqWrkn70xxv6EdDgAH3k7LVA2unwC8tLzQCS4M/edit?usp=sharing
