US President Joe Biden has taken a major step to revive the troubled American economy by COVID-19. President Joe Biden has announced a $2 trillion infrastructure package to improve US infrastructure I think especially to compete with China. Biden said that this would create 10 million+ jobs with a good salary within four years.
According to Biden, this infrastructure plan is being described as the biggest investment proposal in the current century.
Announcing the infrastructure plan from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Biden said it would not only provide equal opportunities to everyone but also empower workers. This scheme will also ensure that the new jobs will offer a good salary, so the worker can provide excellent facilities to his family.
Meanwhile, Biden appealed to Parliament to pass the ProAct (Protecting the Right to Organize Act) and send it to him as soon as possible, so that they could make it into law. However, Biden announced to increase taxes on those earning over four million US dollars per year within the scheme’s period.
Biden also said in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that this is going to be the first time that such an investment made in the US. The aim of this scheme is to generate millions of better jobs in terms of good salaries for workers. Biden feels this plan is necessary to compete with China.
Biden insisted we have no choice but to go ahead with this plan. In this package, he proposes to improve 32 thousand kilometers of roads, 10,000 bridges, airports, and electric supply.
This economic package will also work for the improvement of water systems, electrical grids, high-speed internet, and quality housing programs for American citizens. This is according to the promises made by Biden during the presidential election.
The Democrats had talked about this package to improve the country’s infrastructure. However, Biden would need the support of the US parliament to approve the package. The president would need the approval of about 10 Republican leaders to adopt this package.
Meanwhile, as expected, Mitch McConnell, the Republican leader in the Senate, quickly rejected the plan. He doesn’t think the tax hike for this plan would do any good to the American economy.
