New Deliverance Evangelistic Church Pastor , Bishop Gerald Glenn in Virginia has died after ignoring social distancing guidelines. The announcement was made via the church’s website on Sunday.
Bishop Gerald Glenn tested positive for the pandemic COVID-19 according to a video posted by his daughter, Mar-Gerie Crawley and sighted online by Scooper Ghana.

He is believed to have ignored warnings from the Center for Disease Control and prevention to avoid organizing Church activities due to mass gatherings and to maintain social distancing.
Bishop Glenn in response to the social guidelines said on March 22, 2020 “I firmly believe that God is larger than this dreaded virus.” He even announced he isn’t afraid to die.
It was the next day that Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam issued his executive order banning all public and private gatherings of 10 people or more.

Bishop Glenn’s daughter on April 4, 2020 posted a video to announce that both her parents have tested positive for the COVID-19.
After his demise the church posted on its website by asking others to let the family have time to grief over their loss “First Family to grieve in their own way.”
“While they are mourning the heartbreaking earthly absence of their family patriarch & spiritual father, they also have family members who are struggling to survive this dreaded pandemic,” the church added.
