The North African country has confirmed two (2) new cases of (COVID-19) coronavirus infections in two (2) females age 53 and 24 who are believed to be a mother and her daughter.
The Algerian Health Ministry confirmed the news made revealed that the two have been isolated in Blida Province which is south of the Capital, Algers.
It is believed that the two (mother and daughter) had hosted a french man and his daughter who were later tested positive to the coronavirus after their return.
The unfortunate news means that the African country has now recorded three cases of the coronavirus in the space of one week. Algeria recorded its first case of the coronavirus just last week in an italian tourist who came for sightseeing and to enjoy the weather as well but was deported once he was tested as positive to the virus.
The health ministry has calmed all nerves by claiming the virus is under control and there wont be an outbreak in the country. Already it has established virus control centre to help in treating the virus as well as to curb it altogether before it breaks out.
