Tonight, my cat died.
I don't know how express how I feel.
She was the first cat I've ever owned, the first pet we adopted after buying our first house. We had the pleasure of looking after her for 7 years, we'll never know how long she had lived before we took her in but we assume she would have been around 12-14.
I'm going to miss that cat very much, her little personality we got to know over the years, all her odd behaviours and loving nature.
Tomorrow, she'll be buried in the in-laws garden as we only have a concrete square for our own garden. How do I tell my 3 year old son that our cat is no longer around? I guess we'll have to figure it out.

Here's the last picture I have of you, taken yesterday. We all knew you were unwell but you still purred when we gave you attention and you still tried your hardest to stay with us. You aren't in pain anymore so rest now. Just like you did in life, you can now spend eternity sleeping on chairs in the sun.
Goodbye Dottie, you were my cat and I loved you very much.
