Hello everyone!

Today I would like to talk to you about a project I have with a friend. 

Him and I just finished our professional training in a cinema school. We all know that this isn't the best moment to get a first job, especially in cultural professions. Above all, there is a new lockdown here in France.

I first decided to told him about the project showing him old videos I made 5 years ago, while I was 16. When I had no budget, no lights, no real camera even no artistic ambition. 

At this moment the videos were really simple.

I wast  talking facecam of a subject and explained it, with its definitions, history, important character etc.. I made for exemple a video about Dystopia and an other about the 4Th wall.

The goal of the videos was, after the description of the subject, to share the name of films, series, music, audio series, paintings, sculptures and even architectures which are related to the subject. 

The videos were really uninteresting because after that, I gave the name of films I quickly resumed it and gave my opinion. That was really boring that why I wasn't proud of it and made only 2 episodes. 

I will show you a screenshot of what it looked like to let you see that this was just accurate :

This is poorly framed, the webcam has a medium quality, the window is white because there is too much light, the decor is ugly, the bed isn't made and I use the headphones mic so I'm forced to keep it on my head. And the mic isn't making good quality sound.

We'll change the progress of the videos.

Now the episodes will have the same goal but we're gonna add some new things. Instead of just giving the names of movies, we are going to tell How do they fit with the subject, and maybe how they change the perception of it.

More thant that, we'll add fiction with a narrative frame. A story played by us to add mostly humour to make it entertaining.

We'll do our maximum do add humour to the episodes. We want to do it like the french Web-série *CHROMA* of Karim Debbache :

Obviously I'm not pretending to have such a quality content at the begining but I hope it will come soon ! 

Our goal is to make instructive, entertaining and really funny videos while trying to make them as beautiful as possible. 

Our inspiration for the humour are the show "The Office" for the awkward moments and the "Monty Pythons" for the non-sense, with the new french parodic show "La Flamme".

We hope that our 3 years in a cinema school will bring us to make something really clean. Adding that now we have a little budget, some lights and image and sound gear 

That new lockdown will let us write the first episode which will be used as a pilot. It will be shorter, something around 5-7 minutes to launch our CrowdFunding.

That's what we're aiming today, launching a crowdfunding. Even if we do not raise any fund, we will at least train and see what's to keep and what's to throw. 😁

Our pilot episode subject will be about crowdfunding, especially about ones for internet projects.

We're not sure yet about which plateform wr're going to choose but it will need tu let us get the money even if the goal isn't rech because we really don't have that much money so just $5 could really help us !🤑

Thanks to the french channel Vilbrequin, I saw that a Crowdfunding that works has a lot of great rewards to motivate people to give some help. 💪

Here's a couple of days later when they acceived to reach 600% in 24 hours :

Unfortunately, without money and community, this would be way too expensive for us tu prepare rewards if there isn't enough people to make it profitable.. We can only offer free rewards or really cheap ones. 🙄

We often see rewards like :

• Add you name to the credits 
• Give you acces to the episodes earlier
• Send you a prop of an episode

I'm always wondering if that is really interesting ?🤔

Does that really encourage to give money to a unknown creator ? 

I think that if that is for a big Youtube Channel that could be pleasant to see your name in your favourite youtuber credit or having an episode before its release but, that really not the same thing for a new creator without any fanbase.😞

That what we are thinking about for the moment.
