Cryptos are getting more and more attention and we have to thank bitcoin for that. At the same time, Hive and its second layer Dapps are also enjoying that sweet crypto attention along with some new onboards.
I keep hearing from existing members how awesome these platforms are, how it helped them in their everyday lives, and generally speaking the essence of freedom it provided them.
We know that mainstream social media, and by mainstream i mean Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, have often censored people for completely stupid reasons.
The same can be said about Youtube, which was a complete paradise a few years ago but it keeps on losing trust and many users and creators are feeling frustrated. So this had me wondered!
Do you still use mainstream social media?
If yes, how?
What Mainstream Social Media do i Use and How?
To tell you the truth i am not the best example cause i never used social media in the first place, even though i am quite young. So let's begin with Facebook, which i have an account since i was basically a kid.
I never upload photos there and the primary use is to just talk with friends. Nothing more nothing less. At first, i did comment here and there but after i joined steemit and then hive/leo i never commented on fb again and the same applies to every mainstream social media.
You see after earning as low as 1 cent from a comment something changed in me. I could actually get paid for making a meaningful comment so bye bye commenting on Facebook!
Next is Twitter, i created an account a week ago and the main reason was to take part in giveaways! Yes, i like free stuff what can i say. I also use it to share my hive/leo posts!
I don't even have Instagram and i consider Tik Tok quite stupid so let's move on to Youtube. Truth is i have caught myself spending hours there looking at random videos.
Nowadays, i have even limited my time on Youtube as i am constantly around here. Youtube is quite strong though and i use it to see funny videos, listen to music, or watching some more advanced stuff when i need to!
Now i am really curious to read your answers. Some of you may not use mainstream social media at all, others may use them for their work or because they like them, or even to promote cryptos!
