Dreams are what keep us motivated and striving for something more. When we help other people's dreams come true, it doesn't only brings them happiness, but also makes us feel useful and important.
My father loved airplanes and aviation since childhood. A couple of years ago, he said that at school he dreamed of going to study as a pilot, but he did not manage to do it. This year he turned 50, and I decided to surprise him for his birthday.
An hour drive from our city in the middle of the plain field there is a private airfield with a bunch of different planes and helicopters. They also provide training for pilots, and they have a flight simulator for test flights.
I talked to one of the teaching pilots and managed to arrange a tour of their airfield for my dad.
My parents, two siblings and I went to them and listened to a detailed lecture about different types of planes and helicopters. We were even allowed to sit in some of them. We spent an hour and a half on the tour, and at the end, as a continuation of the surprise, dad was taken to the flight simulator.
He spent about an hour there. He carefully listened to all the functions of the aircraft and was allowed to choose the airport from which he wants to take off and where he wants to land.
The simulator allowed him to fully plunge into the atmosphere of piloting. He was very anxious, because the simulation was so plausible that at some point he even forgot that he was in the simulator.
My father was very happy and very touched that I remembered what he said about his childhood dreams.
Dreams are what makes our life more interesting and rich. They help us see our lives on a larger scale and strive for something bigger. And by helping other people achieve their dreams, we make the world a better and happier place.
So don't be afraid to dream and don't be afraid to help others in their dreams. After all, this is the only way we can create real harmony in our lives and in the lives of those around us. I wish all of us to achieve our dreams and help others to achieve them!
