There will be years to pass until man sets foot on Mars. However, now, everyone who wants have to oportunity to send their name to the Red Planet.
The proposed names will be written on microchips, to fly to Mars with the space ship that will be lanched in July 2020 and is going to land on Mars in February 2021.
The tasks of this rover will be to look for signs of microbial life in the past, as well as explore the climate and geology of the Red Planet, gather samples and prepare human presence.
The program is part of a campaign to attract the majority of the public's interest to missions planned by NASA for the "Moon to Mars" initiative.
