I am not American but people across have extreme views one way or the other on the current POTUS. I have listed below my thoughts on things to like or dislike about him but you cant take away the fact that he is very different than POTUS's that have gone before.
Pros:
(1) Many people voted for him because many Americans think he is anti political establishment. They think (rightly or wrongly) that many politicians are in the pockets of big business e.g. the Clintons.
(2) He is/was a businessman before he was a politician and he has done good things for US economy (even though I think it is being propped up by manipulation from Fed).
(3) His America First policy with control of mass immigration has been a vote winner with many working class Americans.
(4) The gun lobby are his big fans as he continues to back the right to carry arms. NB This can be a disadvantage/con as well depending on yiur viewpoint.
Cons:
(1) From the outside looking in he doesnt seem to have a filter as he seems to just say what he wants and either doesnt care or just changes what he says and thats that. It might be okay in business but doesnt go down well in politics. However I think it goes down well with a lot of people as he dieznt care if he goes against the majority.
(2) He doesnt acknowledge climate change which is a worry for the planet and future generations if there is global warming. Even outside global warming is he signing ip to reducing pkastic waste??
(3) He doesnt seem to sit on the fence with foreign affairs and cant seem to stay neutral e.g. he appears to back Israel over Palestine and doesnt seem to care how Palestinians are treated.
(4) He has had several sexual and other allegations against him but none seem to stick but this doesnt seem to affect his overall popularity with the majority of Americans.
(5) Impeachment. No president wants this and it will always be a black mark against his name no matter if it is justifiable or not.
(6) He is anti-crypto currency but if he sees its potential and he sees an advantage in it e.g. the Fed issuing a stable coin then you know what he is like - he will change his mind at the flick if a switch.
In conclusion love him or hate him Trump (I think) will be around for a while yet as he appears to be well ahead in polls for another term as POTUS.
Many try to make out people who voted for him are thick (just like people like myself who voted for Brexit were labelled) but he has continued to grow the US economy during his term and so far averted any major wars.
Time will tell how Donald Trump will be viewed in history.
